How do we handle working with business people calling themselves “Christians” and their work and work ethics do not reflect this. It’s as if work was one thing and their faith was something different.

The biggest NEED as a believer functioning in the marketplace is FAITH… faith is the only thing I know of that will cause God’s eternal work to be done. It takes faith to operate in a constant state of integrity whether in finances, work ethic, commitment-level, administration, marketing, etc. Faith is the single most desireable asset to my business - it is the substance of everything hoped for. If we look to the world for instruction, we fall into the easier shortcut-temptations of the world. There is no shortcut when operating in integrity. This takes FAITH! We need to strengthen and encourage each other in our faith. Thank you for this wonderful platform that believers can use to springboard their thoughts. Bless you!

Which Market place does this group put their faith in?
Does this program take into account the reality of sweatshops and ecological disasters?
Does it take into account Freidmans Chicago economic school of the Shock Doctrine, on Disaster Capitalism/ Global policies?
In other words how serious are the social and political ethics of this group?

As a result I have returned to full-time employment in order to survive.

In my heart, I feel strongly that I need to be independent. But why is the path to independence not working? How can I know whether this is the route GOD wants me to take? Please help.

    Hi Justin!
I was truly glad to hear from you people!!! About two years ago God called me into Advertizing. My (HIS) dream is to get into the big Billboard -
advertizing! God told me that every design coming from the Throneroom of God will attract God’s Presence! My Vision is that ethical and moral standards will be established in Advertizing again. God confirmed all those things that He spoke to me,
through different people, some of them Nonbelievers. (HE surely is doing a NEW THING!) He also told me to call the Agency “Gabriel”, which is my first name.

Well, I took a huge step in faith last year, 2nd of May and started my own company. I basically jumped from a high tower into the pool finding out that there was no water …
This past year I had to face many Giants and it is by God’s wonderful Grace that I am still Worshipping! (Chuckle …)
Since this is an absolute Pioneer-Thing in our Country I am very much on my own even though I am part of a rather “ON the Ball-Church”.
Right now I am trusting the Lord for a Mega financial Breakthrough for I am down to zerro and I trust, that I will be Debtfree (approx. 30. 000 EURO) by the end of this year!!!!
UNBELIEF and DOUBT is the most dangerous thing when “Doing Business in the Spirit” !!! I am surely NOT giving up and am thankful for the lessons learned in that season.I am so glad YOU took the step to help breakthrough in doing business by the spirit!

Hi Justin, I have been practising taking the prophetic into the marketplace, and absolutely use Biblical standards in my business for a long time - yet I have been experiencing long periods of “passivity” in my career as a salesperson. I work hard, see clients, provide excellent service to my existing clients, do all the right things and yet, nothing happens. Then - for certain periods, things really looks great and positive, but yet they still don’t happen. Then there are times that it eventually comes through. I feel like shouting “Halleluja”, but why do I get these constant “holds, pauses”. Yet, all the personal prophecies over my life speaks of so much prosperity, wealth, good business relations, etc. Thank you for the opportunity to discuss this with you. Kind regards. Valerie

My single biggest need in my private practice is an entrepreneurial mentor. I provide a quality service but have no one to help me with the business billing and other details of doing business. I am not a business person, have no business training or aptitude, just want to make a living doing what I do best. Now, in my other workplace where I am an employee, it’s easier. Those issues don’t exist. I have believing co-workers & bosses. We share & pray among ourselves, but can’t with our clients. I do see God working in this environment though, beause we have bring Him in there, even if not verbally. We just “recognize” one another in the spirit.

I was encouraged to hear from you again. I have so enjoyed your trainings. It seems we are in a spiritual battle here. I am in network marketing, with a very good product that is bringing hope to many. The compensation is excellent, and yet there seems a poverty mentality over people. The people I work with are very good people and want to help others, but have difficulty with the cost. And the people purchasing do not want to hear about making money, so therefore limit themselves to what they will spend. My greatest need is a spiritual breakthrough to break down those ‘gates of bronze’ and to experience God’s favour in a new way.

For those of you who are married, and are wrestling with business decisions, here is my suggestion. If you are not hearing God clearly, see what your spouse has to say and practice submission. When I was trying to decide about my private counseling practice 1.5 yrs. ago, I tried to do the “logical” thing and my husband had what I felt was a ridiculous idea. Guess what? God spoke through the guy who says God doesn’t talk to him just because God was testing MY heart, mind, and will. I submitted to my husband’s advice and God even told me, “don’t worry about advertising yourself; I will advertise you” and He truly has. The business is not large, but His strategic hand has been on EVERY SINGLE referral I’ve gotten, even those that didn’t come from “Christian” sources. The best part — I got to see TWO clients come to Christ this past year! Go God!!!

My burning one thing is that most of the church sees the marketplace as just a way to fund the gospel, and my heart cries out that that vision is way too small. I sense Jesus wanting to build a church in the marketplace living stone by living stone, (through His net-working), and to take that territory back from the god of this world.
I believe that God never intended for work to be secular. It was His original intent for it to be another avenue of worship to Him–our wonderful, loving, awesome heavenly Father. He put Adam in the garden to dress it and keep it. What a wonderful way to worship the Creator!
We(I) need to get out of the way and let Him build His church, and His business is His church.
I believe as we are examples to our employees, customers, and vendors we will make disciples, and then fulfill the great commission to disciple the nations.
My greatest needs are for God’s wisdom, to hear his voice clearly, for prayer for my part in His church/business, and that this burning one thing would totally burn the old me up.
And my burning question is where are the other people out there pioneering Jesus’s church in the marketplace and how can we help one another?

My one thing is to be used by God, to impact and change my portion of this world to His Higher calling…A lofty goal but one that is attainable as I follow Him to the best of my ability. I seek others of like mind to learn from…ones that are led by the Spirit of God, ones who are not afraid to go it alone if necessary.

I want my life, my company to show forth Gods plans. Show they are attainable and that they do make for a better more fulfilling life…a Life based upon Gods calling whatever it is for each one.

His plan is for each of us to be a success in whatever area He calls us to be in. To bloom in our own little corner of the world!

I need to know I’m always hearing God’s voice, not me. I need to know where our business is heading, it seems to be slipping backwards. My husband and I are working on a project we believe to be God inspired. But unlike in the past when God breathed something into our lives and He made total provision for it….this one isn’t as visible that He’s behind it. It’s scary because now I’m doubting if it was a God inspired and not a totally “Me” inspired.

Being “in” the world but not “of it” is one of the biggest challenges I face daily running a restaurant. It’s hard to focus on the ministry oportunities which arise when money to keep the whole thing afloat is not there. Faith is not something I have struggled with in the past yet God has put me in a place where other’s livelyhood depends on the abilities he has given me. Now I find myself having to have faith enough for all who work for me. God asks us to give all he gives us just as the oil of announting flows through the crack in the bottle how do we keep the constant flow of the holy spirit coming so we can give it to those whom God has given us authority over. Daily my employees need the fresh manna yet time does not allow for me to seek it out to share with them. THe single biggest need is more JESUS. Standing in the promise is all I have.

It seems to me if one repented of anyall fleshy aspects of a decision and then asked Him to redeem, just gave over the whole thing to Him, He WILL come through. Often, if I am not getting clear direction, I ask Him to put His foot in whatever is of me and not him. I’m learning more and more that His plan is not dependent on my good hearing, but on HIM. Be blessed — for HE will certainly bless YOUR seeking heart.

I am so full of Him-His wisdom and counsel that I am charged to GO FORTH in this season-praying that all who come in contact with me will definitely come in contact with HIM-His Glory. Hallelujah! It’s time for the manifestation of the true sons of God to show forth His praises in wealth and wisdom–seek and you shall find-knock and the door shall be opened unto you–ask and it shall be given to you. This is and open door/we are seeking and asking, and God shall supply us with all of our needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus, Do not despise small beginnings-I am releasing your portions according to the faith and wisdom that rest in you. Hi, Blessings to you all. I am a reflexologist. I have just opened a home office in the last few days. My heart is to help people find health spirit, soul and body. I believe that it is Gods desire to minister to people at the point of their deepest need. My one thing is to not feel guilty for charging people a fair price for what I do. Most sessoins start out about the body and working the feet, but it usually more about God wanting to tell them how much he loves them and how valuble they are to him so often the session turns toward prayer. The conflict is how do you justfy charging for time spent praying for them. We all know that is the part of the session that will change them the most but How do I get beyond feeling guilty for charging for my services? wether it is working there feet and hands or praying for them.. Thank You for any input.

Having been in the bodywork field for many years,I understand your feelings about charging people for what you are called to do. Like yourself, many times my time alone with them was spent ministering to needs other than the bodywork session. I was offering a health service with a spiritual benefit. I tithed from my earnings and donated a portion of it to causes that were dear to my heart. Money is only a tool, you give them a health service with a spiritual benefit. There were times when I felt the Lord tell me that this was a person whom I needed to donate my services to, so just listen for His voice - He’ll let you know when to donate your services.

I too am looking for ways to use my web site to help others and also to do a business from my home. I am a photographer of many years and have some great prophetic photographs the Lord as led me to capture. I am waiting on the Lord to open doors.
If you will go to my web site http://www.theeyesoftheLord.com you will find an article
about how Todd Bentley’s teaching on Angels brought me financial prosperity back in 2004. Also I have a couple photographs of what I call a Cloud Angel that was taken near Lakeland Florida in 2005. These pictures are dramatic depicting Contemplative Prayer and High Praise.
